End of the line: Tesco won’t make another Hudl tablet

Supermarket giant Tesco made a huge dent in the Android tablet market with their across-the-board high-scoring budget Hudl and Hudl 2 tablets.
The Hudl 2, currently £99, was a huge success but Tesco has now announced that’s it and their tablet days are over.

Support for existing Hudl tablets will continue but there’s no new designated for the creation of a Hudl 3.

They’ve gone out on a high, with their 8.3-inch HD tablets making their way into almost a million UK homes and setting a standard for low-cost tablets.

Honest review about Flymemo HV-600 headset

These are some light weight bluetooth earbuds that I got to use with my Samsung Note 4 phone. They are light weight and sweat proof and connected to my phone without any problems. I just connected them as I would any other bluetooth device and they were connected in less than a minute. Unlike other similar style headphones, the controls are on the ear bud part - not hanging down on the cord. Also, these hook around my ears comfortably for wear.
I found that these provide a nice sound quality. I was able to hear the person on the line clearly as they could hear me. It does not really cancel out background noise, but there was no static interfering with my call either. There is a built in mic as well which makes hands free calling rather simple. I love the ability to control the volume and/or skip music tracks with these as well so I don't have to fool with my phone; particularly if I'm using this while driving. Plus these allow for up to 5 hours of continuous talk time and up to 120 hours of standby time (when you're not using them). Overall this is a nice headset and I'm rather impressed with it. I would honestly recommend it.

Huawei is now the no.1 phone maker in China (Xiaomi no longer)

Huawei-Logo
Newest numbers from China confirm that Huawei, and not Xiaomi is the number one phone maker in China (with regards to smartphone volume).
The analysis comes from China-based firm Canalys which claims that Huawei has trumped Xiaomi in the race for the numero uno phone maker in the world’s largest smartphone market of China.
Both Huawei and Xiaomi have had a gala time in 2015 so far, with most phones from both brands being a hit in China and elsewhere. Huawei has a much stronger international presence than Xiaomi, as you might already be aware.
The exact sales figures haven’t been obtained as yet, and are numbers for the third quarter for this year, i.e., Q3 2015. Huawei has tasted success with its new Honor 7 smartphone, while Xiaomi has had to make a comeback with the Redmi Note 2 after the Mi 4i failed to grab the market share the company would’ve hoped for.
With the new Mi 4c now on sale, Xiaomi will hope to grab lost ground.

Given that this OS X 10.11.1 is a minor performance update that focuses on fixing bugs found in the first version of El Capitan. Apple had been testing 10.11.1 for sometime now, with the first beta having come out in mid-September – much before 10.11 was released to public. Pushed out three more betas making it with beta 4 being released just last week. Where El Capitan 10.11 was focused on bringing in more power-user features to the platform, the 10.11.1 has been poised to clean up any left bugs and performance issues on Macs.
The 10.11.1 update should now fix those issues as has been outlined by Apple in the update’s release notes. It improves compatibility with Microsoft Office 2016, addressing ongoing crashing issues that Office 2016 users have run into, which has been randomly crashing for many users on the initial release of El Capitan. There are also two fixes for Mail issues.
This update:
– Improves installer reliability when upgrading to OS X El Capitan
– Improves compatibility with Microsoft Office 2016
– Fixes an issue where outgoing server information may be missing from Mail
– Resolves an issue that prevented display of messages and mailboxes in Mail
– Resolves an issue that prevents certain Audio Unit plug-ins from functioning properly
– Improves VoiceOver reliability
– Adds over 150 new emoji characters with full Unicode 7.0 and 8.0 support

Individuals of you for whom messaging and written communication is at the heart of any deal, Apple is introducing some 150 new emoji cahracters to give life to your emails and messages. OS X 10.11.1 also introduces support for Unicode 7 and 8, and adding emojis that include taco, burrito, cheese wedge, middle finger, hot dog, popcorn, and unicorn head. These emoji are also included in iOS 9.1.
