Xiaomi is planning to launch the Mi 4 smartphone in the Indian market on January 28, revealed the company’s VP of global operations Hugo Barra on the sidelines of the Mi Noteannouncement in Beijing.
Barra did not share any other details about the Mi 4 availability in the country including the pricing. Currently on sale in China for starting 1,999 yuan, the Xiaomi Mi 4 smartphone will most likely be sold at INR 18,999 for the 16GB version and INR 23,999 for the 64GB version in India.
Originally introduced in July last year, Xiaomi Mi 4 features a 5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 3080 mAh battery. The smartphone sports a metal frame, includes nano-coating for water-resistance and runs on Android 4.4-based MIUI 6.0.
On the imaging front, Mi 4 packs 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.
